How long does charging an electric car take?

It takes between 4 and 12 hours to charge an electric car via a charging station. This is because the terminal releases much more current, which considerably reduces the charging time.

When you divide the 40 kW of the car by the 7.4 kW of the charging station, you get a recharging time of 5.5 hours.
